Sturgis Iron & Metal’s Mega-Shredder is the largest metal shredder in North America, capable of shredding and recycling cars, trucks, buses and other materials into scraps the size of softballs!
Located at our recycling facility in Elkhart, Indiana, the Mega-Shredder began operation in early 2006.
Built entirely with private funding, the Mega-Shredder is the centerpiece of our Elkhart recycling facility that employs more than 125 people in northern Indiana.
